Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fidel Jokin got the match started through his kick off. After 2 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. 5 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gervasio Ixaka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gervasio Ixaka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Vipos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gervasio Ixaka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Miguel Castanheira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vipos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Castanheira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zeledon Barbosa hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Gervasio Ixaka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pascual Tadzio charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pascual Tadzio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 32 minutes into the match, Vipos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Gervasio Ixaka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Gervasio Ixaka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gervasio Ixaka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of play. Gervasio Ixaka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Vipos FC's Mayer Candelo was substituted for Gaspar Acuña. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Gervasio Ixaka made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gervasio Ixaka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Jokin in the 59th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Miguel Castanheira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vipos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Castanheira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gervasio Ixaka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafa Santos Borré in the 65th minute of play. When Zeledon Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vipos FC's protests and gave Zeledon Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th match minute, Vipos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Jokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Agustín Saelices's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gervasio Ixaka read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 80th minute Fidel Jokin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Jokin in the 86th minute of the match. Vipos FC's Miguel Castanheira got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Santos Borré in the 92nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
