After a rather tough play, USA's Zach Harrison got a free kick in the 4th minute. Franz Kafka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After taking down the ball on Lautaro L.P.'s corner Gary Medel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marco Day quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gary Medel sped through USA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marco Day. 23 minutes into the game, Reşit Beyan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lautaro L.P.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave USA the free kick. A collision led to Lautaro L.P. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Reşit Beyan hit a great ball. Lautaro L.P.'s Salvador Ortega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 26th minute of play. If Cassius Byrne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Andolín Echeandía got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Lautaro L.P.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Salvador Ortega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Ortega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Lautaro L.P. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reşit Beyan to maneuver through the defense. Cassius Byrne took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Salvador Ortega. Lautaro L.P.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Andolín Echeandía made the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 53 in the game by Cassius Byrne from a close distance when the talented Salvador Ortega managed to make a qualified save. Lautaro L.P.'s players were relieved. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andolín Echeandía in the 56th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Ortega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lautaro L.P.'s Ayudha á Bø got a free kick in the 68th minute. Lautaro L.P. made a substitution. Fulco Urra replaced Franz Kafka. Ayudha á Bø hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. USA's Raphael Moore got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob May to maneuver through the defense. Wang Peng's late challenge caught a USA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wang Peng helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Sam Campbell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Damián Angulo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damián Angulo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. 96 minutes into the match, Lautaro L.P.'s Damián Angulo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. USA's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Lautaro L.P. had won, even though USA had held more of the ball.
