Songur Çelikyay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wladyslaw Fleischer in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wladyslaw Fleischer in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Cielii FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antoni Wawrukiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Songur Çelikyay having to interfere. Wladyslaw Fleischer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Jacobo Nores managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Cielii FC's Tadeusz Poling fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Tadeusz Poling sent off a good shot on target. In the 38thth minute of the game Jaime Pardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cielii FC's Songur Çelikyay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Pardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Songur Çelikyay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Primitivo Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Primitivo Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Cielii FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paraguay were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Pardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Raul Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Raul Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paraguay! Paraguay:s Jacobo Nores showed great skill when he stopped Wladyslaw Fleischer:s penalty. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Wladyslaw Fleischer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. Primitivo Escribano hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Cielii FC's Wladyslaw Fleischer in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paraguay's goalie prevented a goal. 58 minutes into the game, Primitivo Escribano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cielii FC the free kick. After 58 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Escribano. Alfred Fetor kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Jaime Pardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wasyl Czarnecki's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wasyl Czarnecki helped the player get up and apologised. 68 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Wladyslaw Fleischer came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cielii FC's Songur Çelikyay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 72nd minute of play. After 80 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Alan Campos. In the 87th minute, Jaime Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Paraguay players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
