The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. In the 20th minute of the game Abel Carballo made a throw-in which Eliseo Noboa played forward. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 史雄弘 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 史雄弘 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. 史雄弘 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by 【AC】★御剑堂★单骑闯关's 肖镇辉. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind 【AC】★御剑堂★单骑闯关's goalkeeper 史雄弘, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 许振威 made a kick off. After having played for 78 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Eliseo Noboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
