An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Larpe in the 29th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Gilberto Larpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilbert Sanocki having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Brda Przechlewo's Antoni Kluczyk got a free kick in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lautaro Mancebo in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilbert Sanocki saved Brda Przechlewo from getting behind. A hard shot 37 in the game by Kåre Bock from a close distance when the talented Dante Lacasa managed to make a qualified save. Mexico's players were relieved. Brda Przechlewo's Gilbert Sanocki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 43rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Robert Zdrojowy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Boldur during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mexico booed when Brda Przechlewo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Boldur didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luca Zorita couldn't finish the play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kåre Bock in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Brda Przechlewo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Van Nel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brda Przechlewo made a substitution. Zbyszko Tyski replaced Billy Van Nel. Billy Van Nel kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Luca Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilbert Sanocki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
