The audience was convinced that Lautaro Mancebo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Flores was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Lautaro Mancebo scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mariano Flores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Facundo Cadaval struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Mariano Flores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BIAMAR's Mariano Flores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save BIAMAR from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Joel Gaona took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Mariano Flores to make any attempt to save it. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Flores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BIAMAR throughout the match.
