After 32 minutes of play, Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Adolfo Lago was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marino Montrelle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Egun Pais made a huge save. Eraldo Pompilio made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marino Montrelle however managed to control. João Adolfo Lago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andy Cole's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Acácio Botelho took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Egun Pais to make any attempt to save it. After the first half Floresta Negra FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Egun Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Consalvi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Adolfo Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Lewandowski in the 98th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Floresta Negra FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
