When └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s Jimeno Henric in 10 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Carlos Ramos guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jimeno Henric sped through JEC - FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Ramos. 15 minutes into the match, └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s goalkeeper Arlindo Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tarcisio Galvão. After 15 minutes of play, JEC - FC's Tarcisio Galvão made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arlindo Rossi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pero Šiljak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Arlindo Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. JEC - FC's Carlos Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Simão in the 32nd minute of play. Arlindo Rossi made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Tarcisio Galvão sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, JEC - FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gong Zhan Chen came free, but Carlos Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute Lenílson Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delfim Arce was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of JEC - FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘:s goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julio Baptista to make the kick off. Ronaldo Simão's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Carlos Ramos firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 58 minutes, Pero Šiljak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JEC - FC and the └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, JEC - FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pero Šiljak to maneuver through the defense. Gong Zhan Chen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Carlos Ramos made a huge save. In the 66th minute └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ were awarded a corner. Nestor Batista went to the cornerflag to take it. After 67 minutes JEC - FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nestor Batista who took care of the corner kick. Ronaldo Simão took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Ramos. Carlos Ramos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Simão got free with Carlos Ramos in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Julio Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the JEC - FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Baptista couldn't finish the play. Carlos Ramos made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Ronaldo Simão sent off a good shot on target. └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s Arlindo Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Baptista in the 78th minute of play. JEC - FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldo Simão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. 94 minutes into the game, Gong Zhan Chen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Ramos. Gong Zhan Chen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-5. └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s James Rodríguez was substituted for Ronaldo Simão. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
