Joélson Massa made a great header on Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's corner, it was just that Macaco F.C.'s Jorge Campos managed to reach the ball for a save. 5 minutes into the game, Joélson Massa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jorge Campos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 10 minutes into the match, Thibault Delanoë had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Campos. Macaco F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thibault Delanoë was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Thibault Delanoë came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thibault Delanoë couldn't finish the play. Yılmaz Candar made in the 19th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ingars Miders. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Macaco F.C.'s goalkeeper Jorge Campos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thibault Delanoë in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Campos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sal Darby took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Campos. Jorge Campos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Thibault Delanoë sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Thibault Delanoë ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Campos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After a rather tough play, Macaco F.C.'s Luisinho Lira got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Macaco F.C.'s Jorge Campos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thibault Delanoë in the 43rd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thibault Delanoë to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Macaco F.C.'s Ingars Miders sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lütfi Kutlubay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Macaco F.C.'s Jorge Campos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Macaco F.C. from getting a goal against them. When Joélson Massa fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's protests and gave Joélson Massa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd match minute, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joélson Massa to maneuver through the defense. Macaco F.C.'s Hermínio Cavalcante was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lütfi Kutlubay in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Macaco F.C.'s zone, Thibault Delanoë stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Campos came out of the goal and Thibault Delanoë tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Macaco F.C.'s Ingars Miders got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Ian de Azevedo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Yılmaz Candar, made in the 78th minute of the game. Sal Darby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jorge Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thibault Delanoë in the 86th minute of play forced Macaco F.C.'s goalkeeper Jorge Campos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lütfi Kutlubay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingars Miders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Macaco F.C. getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Stasio Wisniewski hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Macaco F.C. lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
