Mauro-Facundo Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Casado in the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Merusca F&P - CIMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ioan Cocârlă was slow to take the kick. During this time Colognese FC's players had a chance to rest. 7 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Batista came free, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Merusca F&P - CIMZ getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Fábio Trevisan hit a great ball. Mauro-Facundo Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Casado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Florian Capasso notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Colognese FC's Alfredinho Carneiro. Alfredinho Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Florian Capasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredinho Carneiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Colognese FC got a corner. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ioan Cocârlă ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Colognese FC's Ioan Cocârlă to fire away a dangerous shot which Mauro-Facundo Buffon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcinho Sabóia was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Casado in the 40th minute of play forced Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper Mauro-Facundo Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Colognese FC's Andreas Pereira got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florian Capasso was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Merusca F&P - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe Capixaba. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Ioan Cocârlă took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Mauro-Facundo Buffon to make any attempt to save it. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Rafael Couto was substituted for Florian Capasso. Andreas Pereira made in the 76th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Rurik Öhlmann however managed to control. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Bolt in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredinho Carneiro saved Colognese FC from getting behind. A collision led to Colognese FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Andreas Pereira hit a great ball. With a little luck, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Mauro-Facundo Buffon got control of the ball when Ioan Cocârlă tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th minute Edgard Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Colognese FC! 98 minutes into the match, Rafael Couto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredinho Carneiro. Colognese FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Couto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Despite being the better team, Colognese FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
