The crowd rose to their feet as Hugo Sanchez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Durval Guerra. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. The referee ignored Divina Comédia FC's protests and gave Silvinho Mangueira a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes Divina Comédia FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvinho Mangueira. In the 88th minute, Guaberto Bras made a precise shot to the right of Durval Guerra. Divina Comédia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliézer Cavalcante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Divina Comédia FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
