When Higinio Raymundo fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flying Dutch's protests and gave Higinio Raymundo a yellow card for diving instead. Valdemar Cabral hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Alexsandro Tróia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Edgar Trigo made a huge save. In the 27th minute Agustín Tastzian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Xacintu struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Edgar Trigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flying Dutch. In the 38th minute, Luiz Paulo do Valle sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Flying Dutch's Arthur Amorim didn't even have to move. Agustín Tastzian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Amorim having to interfere.

The wind increased when Agustín Tastzian made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexsandro Tróia in the 51st minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Edgar Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arthur Amorim made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Genílson Leite sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Genílson Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arthur Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgar Trigo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Xacintu came free, but Edgar Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Barrenta SC's Luiz Paulo do Valle got a free kick in the 84th minute. João Adolfo Cruz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Barrenta SC's Luiz Paulo do Valle couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Flying Dutch.
