Lea FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 13th minute, one of Lea FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lea FC. Lea FC:s Luiz Fernando Teixeira showed great skill when he stopped Daniel Sousa:s penalty. Luiz Fernando Teixeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Sousa in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Capibaribe Stars's Lothar Matthäus got a free kick in the 18th minute. With a little luck, Lea FC's Luiz Fernando Teixeira got control of the ball when Daniel Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Capibaribe Stars were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Lea FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wilton Fontes took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Jarl Rossebø heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Daniel Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Fernando Teixeira having to make a save. In the 26th minute, Ricardinho Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Luiz Fernando Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lea FC's Otávio Dante got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Daniel Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Daniel Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fernando Teixeira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lea FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Teixeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Daniel Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Bastos in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomás Toscano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lea FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Teixeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 65 minutes into the game, Lea FC's Hugo Bastos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomás Toscano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Luiz Fernando Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Luiz Fernando Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Sousa in the 73rd minute of the match. Lea FC's Luiz Fernando Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pan Zhi Peng in the 77th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lea FC defense, Daniel Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Teixeira. The Lea FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando Teixeira should have stopped the shot. In the 83rdth minute of the game Daniel Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lea FC's Luiz Fernando Teixeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jarl Rossebø recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lea FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Teixeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lea FC's Maximiliano Ermengol pulled a muscle in his back after 90 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jarl Rossebø charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jarl Rossebø the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lea FC's Theo Athanasiou was substituted for Maximiliano Ermengol. In the 93rd minute, Daniel Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Fernando Teixeira was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Capibaribe Stars had played much better football throughout.
