Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Thiago Pliego successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lokomotiv Plovdiv's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Mariano Lacasa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Krum Nikolchov did a great save. 43 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Krum Nikolchov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Facundo Nazario in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Facundo Nazario put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Thiago Pliego.
