USA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Olli Fiedler scored to the left of an out of position Marco Day, making the score, 1-0. Robert Davison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 9th minute of the match. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olli Fiedler in the 12th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, USA's Monty Rogers made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Davison was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cassius Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Davison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 29 minutes into the game, USA's Edward Mcdonald nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robert Davison made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Robert Davison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Davison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. USA were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Sportivo Luan Toro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cassius Byrne took the corner. Cassius Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Robert Davison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cassius Byrne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Sportivo Luan Toro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. USA were winning 1-2.
The wind increased when Olli Fiedler made the kick off in the second half. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olli Fiedler in the 52nd minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Sportivo Luan Toro's goalkeeper Robert Davison had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cassius Byrne. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Robert Davison made a huge save. Cassius Byrnes short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Robert Davison to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Robert Davison made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. Cassius Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Davison having to interfere. With a little luck, Sportivo Luan Toro's Robert Davison got control of the ball when Edward Mcdonald tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Marco Baker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Davison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalid Parry, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 82nd minute Khalid Parry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Davison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martins Palermo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Day having to make a save. Sportivo Luan Toro's Robert Davison proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Luan Toro from getting a goal against them. USA's Zach Harrison got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. USA played a much better game than Sportivo Luan Toro and deserved their victory. The Sportivo Luan Toro players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
