Luiz Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 13th minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Luiz Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 16th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Andrejević in the 47th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sten Andrejević made a kick off. Luiz Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Andrejević in the 56th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Axel Montenegro sped through ROSÁRIO SPORT's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Corrêa. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sigvard Rosendal kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes ROSÁRIO SPORT got a freekick which was hit by Sigvard Rosendal. On his own Kevin Mastache managed to get through ROSÁRIO SPORT's defense and was going for a shot in the net, but Luiz Corrêa lunged to the right and managed in the last second get hold of the ball before it was to late. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Mastache in the 70th minute. Abram Secada was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Ture Möllgren was substituted for Tony Dionísio. ROSÁRIO SPORT made a substitution. Douglas Basso replaced Sigvard Rosendal. The supporters of ROSÁRIO SPORT booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Mastache didn't get a good kick on the ball.
