Edgard Maya hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Mesere's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Charis Manatakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Edgard Maya tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Emrah Vahip in the 17th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Soare in the 26th minute of play. Charis Manatakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charis Manatakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Mesere's Charis Manatakis. Charis Manatakis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Charis Manatakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Charis Manatakis. Mesere's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 46th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charis Manatakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vasile Soare made the kick off in the second half. Mesere's Mustafa Emrah Vahip got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Charis Manatakis in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Charis Manatakis didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. Mesere's Charis Manatakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Mesere from getting a goal against them. Mesere's Fermin Ahedo was substituted for Eate Azcaraso. Inko Sagrario hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charis Manatakis having to interfere. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Charis Manatakis could save by the left post. Charis Manatakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Cristian Sancho scored 0-5 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charis Manatakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mesere.
