Chen Si hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, C.A.C. 10's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Flavio Laurgain, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ernesto Mastrangelo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moises Jaume breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 55 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Moises Jaume didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Moises Jaume made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Laurgain in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when C.A.C. 10 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristopher Abbott didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, C.A.C. 10's goalkeeper Moises Jaume had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 72nd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moises Jaume was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. C.A.C. 10 made a substitution. Aristides Faron replaced Flavio Laurgain. C.A.C. 10's Gogo Izotz was substituted for Vasil Štěpaník. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Faron, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The supporters of C.A.C. 10 booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, C.A.C. 10's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Moises Jaume reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st match minute, C.A.C. 10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Chus to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gogo Izotz in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C.A.C. 10 throughout the match.
