Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Orlin in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Songur Yoran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Felix Montes advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 16th minute. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Songur Yoran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Songur Yoran having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Songur Yoran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Songur Yoran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Songur Yoran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 played minutes Arsenal FC got a freekick which was hit by Frands Thygelund. Songur Yoran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Damaso Orlin made the kick off in the second half. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Arsenal FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 55th minute, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Songur Yoran. Songur Yoran yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Songur Yoran firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 60th minute Damaso Orlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pål Brun during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Pål Brun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Arsenal FC's Songur Yoran. Songur Yoran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Songur Yoran came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Damaso Orlin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damaso Orlin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 82nd minute of the match Pål Brun completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pål Brun a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Arsenal FC made a substitution. Einar Hedström replaced Teodosio Figueroa. After a rather tough play, Arsenal FC's Pål Brun got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 84th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Songur Yoran but with some difficulty. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Einar Hedström in the 89th minute of the match. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. Ecuador played a much better game than Arsenal FC and deserved their victory. The Arsenal FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
