The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes in the game Paolo Tano did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Simon Brechbilder. In the 15th match minute, KFC Uerdingen 05 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Tano to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Bannenbusch in the 20th minute of play. After 22 played minutes KFC Uerdingen 05 got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Nowak. In the 28th match minute, KFC Uerdingen 05 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Tano to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Fabrizio Nowak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Fabrizio Nowak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Simon Brechbilder. After 33 played minutes KFC Uerdingen 05 got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Nowak. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen 05's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Gabriel Wischnowsky reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Ariel Breiffel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Ariel Breiffel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Costa in the 56th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When KFC Uerdingen 05's Simon Bannenbusch in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Bannenbusch in the 64th minute of the match. Gabriel Wischnowsky didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Gabriel Wischnowsky made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 71st minute. Gabriel Wischnowsky didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Bannenbusch, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Venezuela were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant KFC Uerdingen 05 side.
