Stiinta-Univ.'s Martin Crețu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 36th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Ming Sheng came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Crețu came out of the goal and Milagros Fraga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeriu Morovan in the 78th minute of the match.
