Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ercole Marcon made the kick off and thus started the match. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ercole Marcon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Marcon in the 10th minute of play. Lautaro Puig charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lautaro Puig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ercole Marcon in the 12th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Ercole Marcon made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Atletico Van Goof getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Felice Piano hit a great ball. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alberto Di Placido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Di Placido was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Axel Tasis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ercole Marcon in the 27th minute of play. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ercole Marcon went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Alfonso Ragazzoni shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alan Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercole Marcon in the 37th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Alcocer's late challenge caught a Atletico Van Goof's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Alcocer helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Atletico Van Goof booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ercole Marcon succeeded in the game's 43rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. Alberto Di Placido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Alcocer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. 60 minutes into the match, Atletico Van Goof's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Alberto Di Placido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Ercole Marcon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 2-5. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ercole Marcon's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 75th minute. Safy Belfaa in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alberto Di Placido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercole Marcon in the 86th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Safy Belfaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ercole Marcon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ercole Marcon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atletico Van Goof played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
