In the 5th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roman Reynardo in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 9th minute, Roman Reynardo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jonathan Ferrant, passed just outside the right post. 11 minutes into the match, Deportivo Gamberro's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Bruno Pascal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Jonathan Venegas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bruno Pascal quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Deportivo Gamberro booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-0 became the score in the 18th minute when Roman Reynardo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Roman Reynardo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 26th minute, Alvaro Henrico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Deportivo Gamberro's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Bruno Pascal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Bruno Pascal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Mosen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Reynardo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Gamberro. Roman Reynardo succeeded in the game's 45th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

54 minutes into the game, Marcelo Orti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Gamberro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Marcelo Orti hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 58th minute of play forced Deportivo Gamberro's goalkeeper Bruno Pascal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Pascal having to make a save. Deportivo Gamberro's Marcelo Orti got his second yellow card of the match in the 67th minute. The referee ordered Marcelo Orti off the ground. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Deportivo Gamberro.
