An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 7th minute of play forced Sporting DoutroMundo's goalkeeper Adalberto Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Carmona in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sporting DoutroMundo's Aldo Carmona got a free kick in the 25th minute. Tomas Illescas scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adalberto Guerreiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Carmona in the 32nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adalberto Guerreiro was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Nascimento during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jaime Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Sporting DoutroMundo's Adalberto Guerreiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting DoutroMundo from getting a goal against them. During the 79th minute of the match Jaime Nascimento completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jaime Nascimento a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adalberto Guerreiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Aldo Carmona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Víktor Gyokov made in the 88th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Álvaro Candeias immediately put the ball in play. The Venezuela players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Sporting DoutroMundo from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
