Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Hannover Reds's Bernd Yuschni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernd Yuschni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Willi Tilmann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernd Yuschni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernd Yuschni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Hannover Reds's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Jörn Hartwig hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bernd Yuschni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28thth minute of the game Willi Tilmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bernd Yuschni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play forced Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute. Emilio Argina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 36th match minute, Hannover Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörn Hartwig to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes Hannover Reds got a freekick which was hit by Lars Voss. If Willi Tilmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Argina to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Willi Tilmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willi Tilmann ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Hannover Reds's Bernd Yuschni got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hannover Reds's Bernd Yuschni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Hannover Reds from getting a goal against them. 72 minutes into the game, Hannover Reds's Emilio Argina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernd Yuschni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernd Yuschni having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Lars Voss cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Hannover Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Voss didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 92nd minute of play forced Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emilio Argina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Hannover Reds support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
