Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jayson Burnett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jayson Burnett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jayson Burnett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 39 played minutes River tu grato nombre got a freekick which was hit by Walter Goodwin. Jaime Cazalla was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jayson Burnett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jayson Burnett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 43rd minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Abraham Bain made in the 58th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Benjamin Norton. Jayson Burnett came out of the goal and Maximiliano Escribano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Maximiliano Escribano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 65 minutes in the game Kraig Rasmussen did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Calvin Brand. After 69 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 92nd minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jayson Burnett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 93 minutes River tu grato nombre's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Cazalla who took care of the corner kick.
