After taking down the ball on Colombia's corner Luis Cazalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Erubiel Hernandez quite easily take care of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Departamento 912's Erubiel Hernandez. Erubiel Hernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th minute Gervasio Vela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erubiel Hernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erubiel Hernandez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 27th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Hernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Departamento 912 getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Cristobal Loreto hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Mastache got free with Erubiel Hernandez in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, Gervasio Vela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After 39 minutes, Pascual Carballar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colombia and the Departamento 912 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Pascual Carballar got a free kick in the 39th minute. Bernhard Ocariz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gervasio Vela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. After 48 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Erubiel Hernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the game, Joshua Garrido threw the ball into play from the sideline. Departamento 912's Cristobal Loreto quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Domingos Iaki could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Pedro Manzanares however easily saved by the left post. A sloppy throw-in by Doğaner Ulutay in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Antonio Indiano. In the 60th minute, Antonio Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Vela in the 61st minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingos Iaki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Augusto Tiniebra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Departamento 912's Jeronimo Manni was substituted for Gervasio Vela. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. In the 77th minute Departamento 912 were awarded a corner. Bernhard Ocariz went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 80th minute of play forced Departamento 912's goalkeeper Erubiel Hernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erubiel Hernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Secada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Departamento 912's Erubiel Hernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 85th minute of play. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Mastache in the 86th minute. Colombia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Jeronimo Manni scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Manzanares, making the score, 2-4. Erubiel Hernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Augusto Tiniebra made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Departamento 912 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
