Adan Mouricio hit a great ball. Cipriano Elazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 16th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Natalio Bernal sent off a good shot on target. Cipriano Elazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cipriano Elazar saved Zuberbühler FC from getting behind. Cipriano Elazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cipriano Elazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play forced Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Elazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Elazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cipriano Elazar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natalio Bernal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Zuberbühler FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Mouricio to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 59th minute. Cipriano Elazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 62nd minute. After some careless play in the Zuberbühler FC defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cipriano Elazar. The Zuberbühler FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cipriano Elazar should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Zuberbühler FC's Cipriano Elazar got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Elazar having to interfere. Cristian Sancho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 89th playminute. In the 94th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cipriano Elazar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Cipriano Elazar made a huge save.
