The supporters of Panama booed when Deportivo Ozz Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Timoteo Nesor skillfully saved the ball. In the 10th minute of the match, Tomas Berganza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Timoteo Nesor saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 41st minute, Aureliano Neto made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aureliano Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Timoteo Nesor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. In the 90th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Timoteo Nesor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. During the 91st minute of the match Reynaldo Juvenal completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Reynaldo Juvenal a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 92 played minutes Deportivo Ozz Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Juvenal. After some careless play in the Deportivo Ozz Fútbol Club defense, Tomas Berganza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Timoteo Nesor. The Deportivo Ozz Fútbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timoteo Nesor should have stopped the shot. Panama's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
