Milagros Fraga might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matías Patrone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Milagros Fraga ran back to his position shaking his head. Eliseo Mina took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matías Patrone. Matías Patrone dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Delfines's Saverio Regis was substituted for Atilano Quinten. Los Delfines made a substitution. Victor Jerrold replaced Tomáš Kožený. Oscar Orzaize kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Efraim Gilabert hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute of the match Lucas Urbez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Noboa skillfully saved the ball. Matías Patrone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matías Patrone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, Rafael Gallo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Matías Patrone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
