Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Ignado in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Esteban Ignado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Esteban Ignado sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th match minute, FRANK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Mathiassen to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 18th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Mathiassen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute FRANK were awarded a corner. Stefan Mathiassen went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led FRANK's Esteban Ignado to a score. 1-0 in the 21st minute. In the 28th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute Steve Yzerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Stefan Mathiassen notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Stefan Mathiassen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Stefan Mathiassen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 72 minutes, 梅 甘 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FRANK and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FRANK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. 梅 甘 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Moraes having to interfere.
