The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Fernandino got free with Garin Candina in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Garin Candina made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Eduardo Fontirroig sent off a good shot on target. Garin Candina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Fernandino in the 22nd minute. 29 minutes into the game, Ismael Tejedor threw the ball into play from the sideline. Bolivia were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after AFC Viola Gigliati's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mario Fernandino took the corner. After taking down the ball on Bolivia's corner Mario Fernandino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Garin Candina quite easily take care of the ball.

Garin Candina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Chicote in the 53rd minute of the match. AFC Viola Gigliati's Garin Candina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Fontirroig in the 55th minute of play. Garin Candina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83 minutes of play, Bolivia's Alfonso de la Cruz made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Garin Candina was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bolivia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
