Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Abelardo Medeiros started the match with the kick off. A collision led to SE Palmeiras getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Elivélton Valle hit a great ball. Natanael Paraense's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natanael Paraense helped the player get up and apologised. 8 minutes into the game, one of SE Palmeiras:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Will Muralhas had in the 10thth minute some difficulties stopping Jaime Cazalla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Francisco Seco might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Will Muralhas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Seco ran back to his position shaking his head. SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Will Muralhas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 19th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Will Muralhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Carvallo. In the 23rd minute, Kevin Carballal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Vieira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Will Muralhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Seco scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Will Muralhas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Uruguay booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiano Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Covarrubias charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Covarrubias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SE Palmeiras booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natanael Paraense made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. After the first half Uruguay were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Elivélton Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 55th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Will Muralhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Will Muralhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 58th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Will Muralhas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. 62 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's Abelardo Medeiros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Will Muralhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 73rd minute of the match. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Will Muralhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Vieira during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's Alfredo Vieira got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 82 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alfredo Vieira who took care of the corner kick. Alfredo Vieira made a great header on SE Palmeiras's corner, it was just that Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 83rd minute, Alberto Gisbert had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's João Vítor de Almeida got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The SE Palmeiras fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
