Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. Moises Gayoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joar Scheie having to make a save. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joar Scheie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Peru were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after CAN ERZURUM's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Alonso Berganza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joar Scheie quite easily take care of the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joar Scheie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Mehmet Şefik Karadağ tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atabek Tecimen in the 14th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joar Scheie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 16th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joar Scheie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CAN ERZURUM's Joar Scheie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind CAN ERZURUM's goalkeeper Joar Scheie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joar Scheie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by CAN ERZURUM's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Emmanuel Reyes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CAN ERZURUM's Joar Scheie did a great save. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Sven-Olof Vestlund sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Sven-Olof Vestlund could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Rolando Noboa however easily saved by the left post. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atabek Tecimen in the 29th minute of play. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Olof Vestlund went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Joar Scheie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. CAN ERZURUM's Joar Scheie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of play. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Olof Vestlund was the one to do the kick off. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joar Scheie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Joar Scheie was a little too slow when Eliseo Mina got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joar Scheie saved CAN ERZURUM from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in CAN ERZURUM's zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joar Scheie came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CAN ERZURUM's Pan Wei Quan was substituted for Okanalp Doğu. CAN ERZURUM's Charles Puyol was substituted for Rolando Betadur. Javier Zanetti got a throw-in 77 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cássio Corrêa. 78 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joar Scheie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Olof Vestlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 86th minute of play. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
