Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Boyd Winkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play. Pueblo FC's Boyd Winkler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Luis Andino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boyd Winkler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Boyd Winkler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pueblo FC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Pueblo FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Russell Hare hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, Pueblo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Boyd Winkler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime McClendon came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Boyd Winkler in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vern Wright sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Boyd Winkler could save by the left post. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vern Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Boyd Winkler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerry Franco in the 79th minute of play. A hard shot 80 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Boyd Winkler managed to make a qualified save. Pueblo FC's players were relieved. If Mohammed Flanagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pueblo FC's Boyd Winkler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Pueblo FC from getting a goal against them.
