Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Russell Hare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boyd Winkler. Boyd Winkler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mohammed Flanagan hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tyrell Houser was slow to take the kick. During this time Pueblo FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Pueblo FC's corner Mohammed Flanagan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Pueblo FC's Mohammed Flanagan got a free kick in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Gerry Franco came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyd Winkler having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Russell Hare in the 26th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerry Franco in the 29th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime McClendon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime McClendon in the 45th minute of play. Boyd Winkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 48th minute of play.
The wind increased when Vern Wright made the kick off in the second half. Pueblo FC's Boyd Winkler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Pueblo FC from getting a goal against them. Pueblo FC's Boyd Winkler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Pueblo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohammed Flanagan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Boyd Winkler could save by the left post. In the 74th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Pueblo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 76th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyd Winkler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boyd Winkler was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Joel Gaona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Gaona really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Gaona got free with Boyd Winkler in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerry Franco in the 82nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vern Wright in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pueblo FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
