The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Gaudencio Jerrald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Jerrald, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Jerrald came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yngve Örtendahl struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MaviAteşSK. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Jerrald in the 36th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Behzat Altuncuoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Behzat Altuncuoğlu came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaudencio Jerrald went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute of play forced MaviAteşSK's goalkeeper Isidoro Gelmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Behzat Altuncuoğlu took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Behzat Altuncuoğlu had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 72 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball.
