Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Kléber Queirós sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. In the 17th minute Kaká Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléber Queirós in the 23rd minute of play. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Squadra Demarchi's Kléber Queirós fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Squadra Demarchi defense, Lautaro Puig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Saldanha. The Squadra Demarchi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Saldanha should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Squadra Demarchi getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ciro Castro hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Claudinho Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Oscar Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Alcocer, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 46th minute of the match, Kléber Queirós got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benito Sanz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. Claudinho Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Claudinho Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Squadra Demarchi's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinho Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oscar Saldanha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Claudinho Pinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Kléber Queirós came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Pinho in the 75th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Squadra Demarchi getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Cléber Vaz hit a great ball. Eliseo Noboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Pinho in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Squadra Demarchi fully deserved thier win.
