After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and João Augusto Soeiro quite easily take care of the ball. In the 36th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Augusto Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Augusto Soeiro was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game.
