Facundo Cadaval made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that AC Pitt Bier's Ege Vecih managed to reach the ball for a save. Ege Vecih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 2-1 became the score in the 37th minute when Albert Heebels elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donny Slot to make the kick off. 56 minutes in the game Hieronim Literski did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Wouter Spiering. In the 60th minute Donny Slot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damien van Putten's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 73rdth minute of the game Albert Heebels who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ege Vecih showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. AC Pitt Bier's Ege Vecih played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 81st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ege Vecih breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AC Pitt Bier made a substitution. Pascall de Vries replaced Damien van Putten. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Heebels in the 88th minute of play.
