Ciro Castro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Panama booed when Squadra Demarchi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cléber Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Tomas Berganza took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Oscar Saldanha to make any attempt to save it. Richard Moura charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richard Moura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Squadra Demarchi's Richard Moura got a free kick in the 61st minute. Kaká Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If Kléber Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rdth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Claudinho Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Squadra Demarchi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Pinho couldn't finish the play. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Saldanha having to interfere. Nelson Vidal hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes, Panama's Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oscar Saldanha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Panama reached it. After having played for 91 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 93rd minute of play forced Squadra Demarchi's goalkeeper Oscar Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Squadra Demarchi defense, Isidoro Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Saldanha. The Squadra Demarchi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Saldanha should have stopped the shot. Panama's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
