Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedrão Mello took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho Romero. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Mexilhão F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Herena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Intxixu Porregimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of play. After some careless play in the Mexilhão F. C. defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Intxixu Porregimon. The Mexilhão F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Intxixu Porregimon should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Mello in the 8th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Intxixu Porregimon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedrão Mello in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Intxixu Porregimon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Intxixu Porregimon having to interfere. Intxixu Porregimon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. If Pedrão Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mexilhão F. C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anaia Barba in the 60th minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Intxixu Porregimon made a huge save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão Mello in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Intxixu Porregimon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Intxixu Porregimon in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Mexilhão F. C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Intxixu Porregimon quite easily take care of the ball. In the 81st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line.
