After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Kaká Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Kaká Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 32 minutes, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Alguacil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha got control of the ball when Abraham Alguacil tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 36 minutes, Abraham Alguacil made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 40 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinho Pinho made a kick off. In the 60th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oscar Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Cambeiro in the 62nd minute of play. Kaká Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. In the 76th minute of the match Panama got a corner. Squadra Demarchi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 81st match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oscar Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 85th minute of the match. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Oscar Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kléber Queirós during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Squadra Demarchi getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Kléber Queirós hit a great ball. 97 minutes into the match, Isidoro Sarmiento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Saldanha. Squadra Demarchi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidoro Sarmiento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Panama had played much better football throughout.
