Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ragnar Åberg started the match with the kick off. Rıdvan Kurushov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. Jacob May charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacob May the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jacob May kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Åberg in the 7th minute of play. Marco Day came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Nevşehirspor's Rıdvan Kurushov. But to his dismay, Rıdvan Kurushov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ragnar Åberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Gianluca Buffon in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ragnar Åberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After 17 minutes USA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rıdvan Kurushov who took care of the corner kick. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ragnar Åberg in the 19th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Diego Bradley in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Nevşehirspor's Ronaldo Messi. In the 24thth minute of the game Monty Rogers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nevşehirspor's Gianluca Buffon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Edward Mcdonald sped through Nevşehirspor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gianluca Buffon. After a defensive mix-up in USA's zone, Ragnar Åberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Day came out of the goal and Ragnar Åberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to USA getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Zach Harrison hit a great ball. In the 36th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluca Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Monty Rogers made a precise shot to the right of Gianluca Buffon. Nevşehirspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cassius Byrne was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 51st minute of play forced Nevşehirspor's goalkeeper Gianluca Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ragnar Åberg struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nevşehirspor. Nevşehirspor made a substitution. Bror Kent replaced Hami Tuğaltay. Gianluca Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ragnar Åberg in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Nevşehirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Gianluca Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nevşehirspor's Gianluca Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 66th minute of play. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. Nevşehirspor made a substitution. Cipriano Proença replaced Ragnar Åberg. Nevşehirspor's Gianluca Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 78th minute of play. USA made a substitution. Nevşehirspor's attentive Ronaldo Messi managed to snatch the ball when Diego Bradley made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. Gianluca Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sam Campbell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cipriano Proença took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Day. Marco Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The supporters of USA booed when Nevşehirspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alesandro Nesta didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khalid Parry in the 94th minute of play forced Nevşehirspor's goalkeeper Gianluca Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nevşehirspor succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though USA had controlled the match.
