But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute Maelgwn Le Meur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pierre-Henri Oudard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 16 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pierre-Henri Oudard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pierre-Henri Oudard having to make a save. 30 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of En avant de guingamp's Pierre-Henri Oudard. Pierre-Henri Oudard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pierre-Henri Oudard. If Aymerick Michelet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pierre-Henri Oudard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After 55 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pierre-Henri Oudard was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Pierre-Henri Oudard in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 minutes, Marcel Mugnier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the En avant de guingamp and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th match minute, En avant de guingamp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Mugnier to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 60th playminute. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Pierre-Henri Oudard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 65th minute of play forced En avant de guingamp's goalkeeper Pierre-Henri Oudard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, En avant de guingamp's goalkeeper Pierre-Henri Oudard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Mexico's Joel Gaona was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 72nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pierre-Henri Oudard. Pierre-Henri Oudard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. 78 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pierre-Henri Oudard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-12. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Pierre-Henri Oudard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Luca Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pierre-Henri Oudard. Luca Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-13. Mexico played a much better game than En avant de guingamp and deserved their victory. The En avant de guingamp players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
