Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Hector Septien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Payon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After 27 played minutes, Venezuela's Patricio Costa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hector Septien came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venezuela reached it. Eustaquio Galdeano kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Hector Septien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Fernando Payon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Venezuela booed when POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertin Rilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Hector Septien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 minutes, Jose Correa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol players grew even worse after the yellow card. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Tomas Illescas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hector Septien saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 52nd match minute, POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Payon to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 53rd minute of play forced POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's goalkeeper Hector Septien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Bertin Rilo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Bertin Rilo hit a great ball. Bertin Rilo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hector Septien saved POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol from getting behind. In the 87th minute, Patricio Costa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hector Septien, passed just outside the right post. Fernando Payon was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 91st minute, Fernando Payon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Septien acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jose Correa. Venezuela's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
