With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dedé Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dedé Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play forced YERSIYAHGOKBEYAZ's goalkeeper Dedé Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. YERSIYAHGOKBEYAZ's Dedé Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. Hjalmar Pettersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dedé Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Dedé Alves made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Dedé Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 57th minute of the match. YERSIYAHGOKBEYAZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Özbek Heper in the 61st minute. Hjalmar Pettersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when YERSIYAHGOKBEYAZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Izydor Smolak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dedé Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Dedé Alves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 77 minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Hjalmar Pettersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Dedé Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dedé Alves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 94th minute. Izydor Smolak kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than YERSIYAHGOKBEYAZ throughout the match.
