Yu Feng Xi came free with the goalkeeper in the 4th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Timo Thorstein tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timo Thorstein in the 9th minute of the match. Olimpiu Hârlău showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 27th minute of play forced Carpathian Wolves's goalkeeper Olimpiu Hârlău to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yu Feng Xi in the 34th minute of play. Olimpiu Hârlău made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Timo Thorstein recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Timo Thorstein showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yu Feng Xi in the 54th minute of play. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olimpiu Hârlău having to interfere. Olimpiu Hârlău showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 60th minute of the match. In the 65th minute Timo Thorstein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Yu Feng Xi came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Olimpiu Hârlău successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Olimpiu Hârlău made a huge save. In the 78th minute Yu Feng Xi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes Carpathian Wolves got a freekick which was hit by Henry Eklund. In the 83rd minute, Joel Gaona sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Carpathian Wolves's Olimpiu Hârlău didn't even have to move. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olimpiu Hârlău. Olimpiu Hârlău dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Timo Thorstein scored 4-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Yu Feng Xi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Carpathian Wolves fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mexico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
