Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Avram Panaiteanu kicked off to start the match. If Yu Feng Xi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timo Thorstein in the 4th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Carpathian Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avram Panaiteanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute Carpathian Wolves were awarded a corner. Mugur Timofte went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Carpathian Wolves's corner Mugur Timofte fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. In the 20th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olimpiu Hârlău was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Yu Feng Xi struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carpathian Wolves. A collision led to Carpathian Wolves getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Yu Feng Xi hit a great ball. Olimpiu Hârlău showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Yu Feng Xi came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Carpathian Wolves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yu Feng Xi couldn't finish the play. Carpathian Wolves's Olimpiu Hârlău played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Leszek Pisarczyk hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Avram Panaiteanu scored 2-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avram Panaiteanu in the 57th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yu Feng Xi in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 66 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Timo Thorstein came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Yu Feng Xi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Yu Feng Xi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Olimpiu Hârlău in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yu Feng Xi, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. With a little luck, Carpathian Wolves's Olimpiu Hârlău got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
