When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Douglas de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomé Reis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomé Reis slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Costa Rica's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Douglas de Souza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglas de Souza in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas de Souza's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 76th minute. Floresta Club U18's Ruy da Rocha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benito Sanz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Floresta Club U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Dionísio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Floresta Club U18 getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Douglas de Souza hit a great ball. Vito Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Floresta Club U18 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
